THE PAST YEAR

Here are some of the new candles I made during the year:

The large mushrooms weigh in at an impressive 2
pounds, the balls and hearts about a pound and the small ones from 2 ounces to a half pound.

Finish work can be excruciating or fun, but satisfying either way.

I use a variety of items in the process, such as beads, stickers, broken jewelry, ribbon, silk flowers to name a few.

Here, the Indian totem and the Hobo boot -
tip the scale  at nearly 3 pounds each.  I use mostly
acrylic paint but melted crayons are good also.

Front and back of the Indian are the same and I improvised the sides with sunset photos and glitter.
I spent way too much time on it (had to be perfect, you know.)  It was a gift.  Maybe I'll make another one someday.

I made alien heads in several other colors but this is
the only one I painted the face.  The butterfly wings
are loose and it appears to have just landed on the
ball. An unintentional bonus.

Til next time!!
