- The old stand-by: hold your breath as long as possible, then exhale slowly.
- Or try to drink a glass of ice water from the opposite side of the glass.
- And last, for now: The bartender's cure: Drizzle a few drops of bitters on a wedge of lemon or lime before you eat it.
