`
Glorious Summer is paying her dues
With leaves drifting down in multiple hues.
Children vie for the biggest and best.
Alas, poor me! I must rake the rest.
`
But waiting finally dealt the right card,
The wind blew the leaves right out of my yard!
Smiling, I sat on my porch to relax,
Then watched while the wind re-filled to the max
`
My yard and the eaves, the walk and the drive
With leaves all in heaps, inviting a dive
By the kid in me. I couldn't resist,
A sight my neighbor wouldn't have missed!
