SHADES OF GREEN

SHADES OF GREEN
`
One golden sunlit morning
Flitting about the flowers
Came bands of silver angels
Pygmean, yet rich with powers
To cloy the soul of woman,
Cast a spell on all mankind
With blossoms tenderly blushed,
Arrangements of gems designed
In colors magnifcient, bearing
Varigations of every hue,
While innocents drink the sweet perfume
And stop to pick a few.
Mere mortals might never know
The myriad shades of green
Shown there in the dew kissed garden
Where the silver cherubs were seen
Busy painting the fragile petals
And inviting the butterflies in,
Addendum to all the splendor
Where artisan angels have been.
